Loudness Rise To Glory Tour Malaysia

Metal fans are in for a real treat this 10 NOVEMBER 2019 at THE BEE when local supergroups, JEMSON and FARASU, will join Japanese metal headliner, LOUDNESS, on stage to open for its RISE TO GLORY TOUR 2019.

Hailed from Kuala Lumpur, JEMSON is made up of Najmi (previously a member of a brutal metal band from Alor Setar, called Incarnation) and Myo, who is also the frontman of local rock phenomena, Oh Chentaku. Immediately after the disbandment of Incarnation in 2015, Najmi, the frontman and producer, started working on his solo project, The Jameson Project - a creative outlet for him to experiment with different song-writing styles with include a collaborative pet-project with Myo. Together, they released a single called "Rock N' Roll Sampai Mati" which eventually became the main theme song of Myo's popular travel show, Ride Hensem.

The fiery chemistry between the two warrants a natural progression - they  decided to start a duo supergroup named JEMSON (a playful spin-off of the original project name). The band have recently released an EP called "Balada Cinta Kosmos" under Oh Chentaku Records, containing five tracks filled with classic vibes that reminisced 80s rock flavour with modern pop and punk elements.

FARASU, originally formed by Nahak, Bull and Fidaiyyin in 2012 hailed from Serdang, Selangor. The band consisted of a line-up from the ashes of Brave In Vision and Iron Storm, and performed their first stage act together in 2013 at the Eastern Loudness gig at The Old House Pub which propelled the band to the Malaysian underground metal scene.

Since then, the band has released numerous albums including "Against The Tyranny" and "Menongkah Arus", all the while experimenting with different sounds and defying boundaries. The band pushed their abilities by incorporating Eastern trash death and black metal approach in their song writing. FARASU also went further by assimilating traditional Malay music that provides a more melodic lead to their work.

While most local bands struggle to grow and prefers to stay 'old school', FARASU has done the opposite - they evolve. With their bravado in exploring new styles but staying true to the spirit of the band, FARASU has dominated the Malaysian metal scene and received invitations to perform internationally, namely Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan and China. Last year, FARASU released their most successful album to date called "Sulalatus Salatin" - an album infused with Metal Nusantara.

Opening the show for LOUDNESS marks a level of international visibility for both JEMSON and FARASU. Considered the 'godfathers' of the Japanese metal scene, the quartet led by powerhouse vocalist, Minoru Niihara and guitar wizard, Akira Takasaki, blazed a trail in the 1980s and scored a number of firsts for a Japanese band. They were the first commercially successful home-grown hard rock act in Japan, and the first to record songs in English, which led to them becoming the first Japanese metal act to sign a worldwide deal with a major record label, Atlantic Records.

Tickets to the show can be purchased online at www.galactix.asia/loudnessKL and start from RM178 (early bird - sold out), RM208 (advance), RM288 (VIP) and RM238 at the door.
